  • Almost nobody in the US used the Apple & Google COVID-19 apps

The system worked fine, it was a good system, it just wasn’t used.
From a technical standpoint, I’m sure it worked fine.  But to claim that it was a good system when people, who are an integral part of that system, are not willing to use it, couldn’t be bothered to use it, or lived in states didn’t allow it stretches logic to the breaking point.

And really, this was entirely predictable.  No one should be surprised.

  • New #AppleToo movement drawing attention to racism, sexism, inequality inside Apple

As others have said, you will find discontent in any large organization.  What I find curious is, despite the unhappiness these people show, they are still oddly loyal to Apple, which is evidenced by the fact they haven’t left the company yet.  True, they have an interesting way of showing it.  But most people would leave if they were truly unhappy with their employer.

  • Apple applied list of terms censored in China to Taiwan & Hong Kong

One wonders how far Apple will go down this path until they finally say No.  What’s the threshold?

The headline gave me pause - but then I saw 2033 in the first line of the article along with the phase-out schedule. Should not be a big deal for round earth dwellers.
One has to wonder how many physical credit cards will still be in use by 2033.

Maybe apple should offer to pay their rent for the next 12/24 months
Apple pays their rent: it’s called salary!

You know, the money you get to pay for life’s necessities: food, housing, healthcare.

Or do you think you get paid for life’s luxuries? 🤣
It's so sad that Americans have to pay for healthcare from their salaries :(
Employees pay for it one way or another.  It’s actually cheaper to pay directly through a salary.  Where the company notionally pays for it (out of your reduced paycheck) there’s an additional company management tax on top of it.  We need to break the illusion that if a company (or government for that matter) pays for some benefit there’s no cost to the employee or citizen.  It’s just not reflective of reality.  Salary, 401K match, and benefits all roll up into a total compensation package for each employee.
