  • iPhone 15 has new battery health controls to prevent charging past 80%

So, now it’s bad to charge your phone to 100% ?  Lol,  so much different information out there.  It’s hard to know what to believe.

  • iOS 17 is probably hitting your battery hard today -- but that's expected

On a side note - i’ve lost about 9 to 10 Gb of storage on my phone since the update..  Will any temp or dormant install files for the OS be purged?
I lost at least 20-25GB of space after the update!
What?   That is hard to fathom.   I saw the full download size was 7.7 Gb when connected to cable and macbook, which possibly is compacted.  But either way, 20Gb less space from the update is hard to understand.  I always check before and after when it comes to OS updates and know the space has not come back yet after 18 hours or so.  Obviously the new features require more space.   It’s starting to look like 256 Gb is minimum for me when getting new phone,  applications seem to get bigger over time too.

  • iPhone 15 Pro Max demand outselling supply, says Goldman Sachs

    [...]

It could be true,  but it seems like the production run for the 4 models would need to be equal to base that on? Or i’m missing something ? But Apple does not release such information? It seems the regular 15 looks like a really nice phone too.

  • Hands on: Apple's new FineWoven iPhone 15 cases

I was interested until I saw the plastic sides, looks kinda cheap to me in the video at least. I've always been caseless on my iPhones until I finally got into the leather case on my iPhone 12 Pro when traveling and acknowledging my propensity for dropping phones, and learned to love it. I went through two of them before trying something different as they're no longer selling those cases for the 12 series that I could find.

I've since landed on the Caudabe Sheath and think it's pretty great. One of the nicer polymer cases I've tried, and has the grippiness of the Apple leather cases that I liked, without the rapid wear you get with leather. May be what I go with on my next iPhone as well.
I concur,  i have the Caudabe sheath and it’s by far one of the best cases i’ve had.  Looks and feels great and super durable.  Oh,  it is reasonably priced too.
