  • Redesigned iPhone 17 Pro camera may lead Apple to reposition its logo

As a user of iPhones since the original,  I’m entitled to share my opinion of this new alleged layout on back of phone.  It’s basically awful.   I think the best look has been the two camera vertical arrangement of the iPhone 16.  The increasing emphasis on cameras on phones, not just iPhones, it simply amazing.  I guess I am biased, as I prefer a real camera and lens compared to tiny sensors and lens that a cellphone has.

  • Apple shareholders sue over Siri delays and massive losses

The debacle of Apple advertising “Apple Intelligence” before it was ready may be the beginning of the end of the Tim Cook era.

  • Liquid Glass is more than skin deep on macOS Tahoe

Can we get easier to use slider bars on the right side of windows?  It is very often challenging and annoying trying to grab the slider bar with mouse to scroll vertically in the finder and other app windows.  I’m frankly amazed that the people who make the GUI like how the window scrolling is.

  • iPhone Fold rumored to get both under-screen and hole-punch cameras

I just hope they don't pull an iPhone mini on us and give us something we want but make it underpowered. At it's price point, I don't want any compromises, especially in the camera, compared to a Pro Max.
The only thing underpowered about the iPhone 12/13 Mini was the battery (because physics — smaller phone, smaller battery). Other than the actual size of the phones, the battery and the pixel density (technically higher on the Mini because of the smaller display), the iPhone 12/13 Mini were identical to their 12/13 non-Mini counterparts. Same A-Series SOC (with the same amount of cores), same amount of RAM, same cameras, same capacity options, same contrast ratio, same brightness, etc. There were no performance differences between the Mini and the non-Mini.
Maybe,  but the mini phones were not great to type on compared to the larger phones.  I had one and don’t miss it at all because of that one reason.  The mini’s greatest feature was the light weight.   That’s why I just don’t get why anybody would want a heavy folding phone.

  • Inside Apple TV 4K -- the best addition to your TV set

Well,  I’d you’re someone who likes Apple TV and wants Apple type interface on your TV and maybe other things too,  that’s great.  But,  I started using Roku recently and love it.  A $30 go anywhere streaming box led to a new Roku TV.  Yes, Roku makes TV’s, in 3 price and features classes.  My iPhone and MacBook get plenty of use.  I find it refreshing to use something different than Apple.

The remote control on the Roku is great.  The Roku channel has amazing variety and much of it is free.  The Roku OS is fast and great to use.

It’s a bit subjective to call any of these devices the “best”,  like this article does.    The best is what works for you.  For me, it’s Roku.
