  • macOS Mojave will drop support for some older Macs released before 2012

Apple seems to be drawing some line in the sand at 2012 with these, as it's obvious that a Macbook Air 2012 (supported) with Intel HD 4000 has FAR LESS graphics ability (practically NONE) than slightly older (and not supported) Macbook Pro or 2009 Mac Pro with better discrete graphics.

  • iPhone X vs. OnePlus 6: Which smartphone camera produces the best photos?

The article text and the image comparisons are all wonky and not in the correct places in the article.  Makes it hard to read.  Just looking at the photos, the iPhone X looks clearly better.

  • Apple promotes free month of upgraded iCloud storage to non-paying users

While those of a certain persuation keep expecting "free stuff" from companies which "have enough money", according to them, in the real world, Apple just keeps on making great products and delivering great services such as paid iCould storage plans. We've been on the 2TB plan for months now, and it's very nice to have that much capacity for a reasonable price. It's very convenient to have it available to all of our devices (family plan), too!
In the other real world, Microsoft makes great products like Office365 (which is FAR cheaper than any Apple device) yet they generously give every Office365 user a FREE 1TB of cloud storage.  A $99 annual price gives 5 users 1TB EACH of OneDrive PLUS the entire Office 2016 suite.  But Apple wants to charge it's users that paid $1000 for an iPhone or $500 for an iPad for anything more than a measly 5GB.

This ridiculous deal Apple is giving (a free month) is nothing more than baiting their loyal customers into more expensive plans.  Once a user puts more than 5GB in their cloud during that month to make use of their "free space" what happens the next month?  Gotta pay more or lose your data.

  • YouTube Music subscription service arrives next week as Google puts its content ducks in a...

I don't like it.  Not only is it confusing as hell what is what, but to me, YouTube is video.  As a Google Play Music family plan subscriber, I'm going to have to think twice if I want to be paying for anything called "YouTube".  Is the Google Play Store (where Android users get apps) going to be called YouTube Store?  I just don't get it.

  • DirecTV Now for iOS & Apple TV picks up easier UI, beta cloud DVR & more

Signed up yesterday to get my free ATV 4K and discovered dtvnow doesn't offer CBS.  They have ABC, NBC and FOX, but no CBS.  Sort of a deal breaker...

And the interface was horrible.  Just trying to figure out how to get to local channels was a chore.  Hopefully this will be better.
