  • Apple modular Mac Pro launch coming in 2019, new engineering group formed to guarantee fut...

Should this really take 2 years??
You realize that most Apple products that are totally brand new take many years to design, engineer, and fine tune before its announcement? This isn't just slapping parts together like a DIY PC and call it good. Apple is not Dell, HP, etc. If all you want is a bunch of parts slapped together then by all means, go get that or create your own.

If you need a professional Mac in the meantime, the iMac Pro is actually a great Pro Mac to get. It will still have significant value, even next year should you want to sell it for a new Mac Pro.

This is hilarious and your Apple bias isn't evident at all!  (sarcasm)

"Parts slapped together"?  Seems to me that most of the world, including professionals, produce just fine on HP and Dell products that are "slapped together".  Many are top sellers and award winning designs (if looks matter to you).  If you mean that Apple takes years to create museum-worthy artistic designs and that professionals can't get anything done without having a piece of art on their desk, then you're right.  I've always said if Apple took the aluminum Mac Pro chassis and put in a modern system board with the latest techonolgy, not only would people beat down the door to buy one, but you could be using one now, not sometime in 2019.

While everyone else gets current, high performance technology to work with, Apple users are always the last to get it.  But, hey, it's beautiful.

Good to see them getting bigger and bigger and hopefully overtake Spotify at some point.
What would that accomplish?  Is there something Spotify is doing that is affecting your Apple Music experience?  Just curious what your end game is here.

  • Disgruntled HomePod owners say firmware update alters sound quality

Users have no right to complain . You spent 350 on a device you have no way of configuring.  That's your fault.

You should have learned by now Apple wants you to use their devices the way THEY want you to use it. Not how you want to.

If you're not holding your phone how I say hold it then YOU'RE holding it wrong.  WTF wake up people
Wake up? My wife does not want to **** about with controls or settings, or look at an eyesore. HomePod is perfect for our needs. Perfect. There are hundreds of alternatives for people who do want that (like I did in my late teens and early twenties). I’ve moved on, HomePod is for me. My choice. Right for now. Get over yourself.
If Apple DID give users controls to configure the Homepod, is someone holding a gun to your wifes head forcing her to use them?  Maybe there are people other than your wife that DO want some level of configuration.  That's what is nice about giving people options--you can choose to use them or not.

  • Refurbished, high-end iPhones are suffocating the growth of cheap new Androids

The article seems (as usual) extremely biased against Android and for Apple.  Since you can buy $50 Android phones, of course performance issues will be higher than a $600 iPhone. I'm pretty sure if there was a $199 iPhone, it would suck, performance wise, on iOS 11 also.

And, $50 savings on an iPhone refurb?  I'll take NEW for that extra $50, thank you.  Who would buy a refurb just to save $50?

  • Amazon continues to claim top spot in Harris reputation poll, Apple plummets to 29th

OUCH!  Seems a bit meaningless, though, when people can't help tripping over each other to get the latest i-gadget.
