  • Video: iPhone X vs OnePlus 6 - Benchmarks

Moving onto the AnTuTu benchmark, the OnePlus manages to beat out the iPhone X by almost 30%.
Eh..What? OnePlus has 34.6k, while iPhoneX has 37.5k in AnTuTu, no?
Am I missing something? 34.6k is not 30% larger than 37.5k. It just isn't!
They're just being misleading. The picture is only showing the results from one part of the Antutu benchmark where the iPhone X wins. The iPhone X loses for every other section (presumably), hence the 30% lead for the OnePlus 6 in the final result.

  • Custom diamond-encrusted $10,500 iPhone X available from European luxury vendor

You never ever see this level in the Android world.
That's not true at all. There are plenty in the Android market, such as Goldvish, Tonino Lamborghini and Bellperre. One of the diamond and alligator leather models from Goldvish is over $100,000 (insane).

  • Wish list: Nine features we want to see in an iMac refresh at WWDC 2018

There are many people in the hackintosh community running Ryzen CPU's on the latest MacOS, so it's definitely not an architectural limitation. The biggest hurdle would be including Thunderbolt 3 in an AMD-based iMac, as it isn't natively supported by AMD's chip line.
HP already has a few laptops coming out with Ryzen CPUs and Thunderbolt 3, so I can't imagine it to be that big of a hurdle.

EDIT: Nevermind, it looks like Anandtech made a mistake on that after an error in HP's information.

I'd also like to see the chin go away on the iMac. Something similar to the clean look of Microsoft's or HP's all in one computers would be preferable.

  • Why Google IO 2018 squandered AI leadership to focus on copying Apple's innovations

Now, a year later, Apple is prepping WWDC 18 to show off the next advancements for its platforms. You can expect it will involve more than just a copy of what others did last year, and that its advancements will rapidly deploy to a huge installed base.
Google rapidly deploys features through apps, not OS versions. In thinking that Android works the same way as iOS, you've missed the bigger picture. Everything from Google Assistant to the launcher, and ever the dialer, are updated separate from the OS. For example, to use Google Assistant or Google Play Instant (instant apps), all you need is a device with Android 5.0 or later.

  • Video: iPhone X vs Galaxy S9+ AR Gaming -- ARKit vs ARCore

I wonder if this is an ARCore issue or an S9 implementation issue.

I've seen some ARCore apps on a Pixel 2 and it worked quite well.
