Not only was it inevitable because of the EU mandate but Apple was heading that way anyway. Just look at the iPad pro. The only surprise was that Apple didn't make the change for the iPhone 14. It's either a design issue with the smaller form factor (seems unlikely) or an economic factor (eek the last dregs of value from stocks of lightning components before they have to go USB-C anyway). I didn't buy the 13 or 14 as I'm holding out for the USB-C version compatible with my iPad Pro so BRING ON THE 15!!!

Did you read that it's a "Conference Monitor" designed with video conferencing in mind (MS Teams was mentioned), not video editing?  It don't think it was meant to be used by "pros" (whoever they are these days).

And yet 80% of people are still using 1080p, there’s virtually no 8K displays.  Yeah retinas are still ahead of its time.

...and most people don't actually use their 4K monitors at 4K resolution because a windows or mac screen at 4K is really hard to read. Most of them are scaled to around half their full resolution! Anything over 1080p for VC is just a big waste of money until bandwidth for the vast majority of users is considerably better.

Pretty certain these renders prove you have absolutely no idea what Apple is designing. Pretty sure it won't be like the rubbish everyone else is putting out. It's not the Apple way just to put out a product to match the schlock that everyone else is producing.

It’s about time! Not that we actually have it yet. It’s ridiculous how long it has taken Apple to get this approval given how much they touted this capability only for the world outside of the US to discover they hadn’t even bothered to start the approval process in any countries other than the US. They’ve released new Apple Watch models since this was first sold as a feature!!!

Always amazed by people who don't like the subscription model but expect the developer to continue to support and improve their apps. That said I'll ditch an app in a heartbeat if I'm paying a subscription and they've gone AWOL and I'm seeing no development and updates. Has to work both ways.
