  • Apple 'won't make an exception' for Epic to skirt App Store rules

"Fortnite should put the actual rap songs behind the dances that make so much money as Emotes. Black creatives created and popularized these dances but never monetized them. Imagine the money people are spending on these Emotes being shared with the artists that made them
    — Chance The Rapper Album in July (@chancetherapper) ;July 13, 2018"

Epic stole dance moves from popular black artists and sold them to kids for a profit. The artists did not receive a penny or recognition for their work.

This is not to start a race conversation but I have a question. Why do you say black artist ? Does it make it worse because they were black artist ? Would you feel the same had they been white artist ? Why not just say they stole from popular artist ? Singling out black in this case does not make the argument anymore valid.

  • Apple objects to app's pear logo trademark application

I will give my opinion as someone with no design experience, no trademark law knowledge and no college degree. I stared at the logos for quite some time comparing them and I do not see it. To me this seems like Apple being a petty bully. I hope this settles it for everyone...lol.

Would you just bend over backwards, take it in the ass, and surrender your prior work?
For that to work you should bend “forward”, right? 🤪

Yup. I guess we see where the real lack of intelligence is.

  • Spotify iOS beta gains ability to make Siri music requests

There is still anti competition going on by Apple.
They should be sued for having taken years to have third parties integrate Siri into music apps - a category they blocked.

Secondly they should be sued for the fact you still need to say “on Spotify”, because leaving it out - the “default” - is still Apple Music.

iOS should include an option to set the defaults for music, navigation and other categories, so that Siri can take that setting as the ‘default’.
Quit with the "they need to be sued" stuff. No they don't. You don't like their setup then move on to something else. Sounds like you need to move over to Android.

  • Apple's 'By Innovation Only' new iPhone event is on Sept. 10

Here’s to hoping the “innovation” part of the invitation surprises us. Although, as has been pointed out by others, if the overall look of the phone doesn’t change drastically there will be howls of outrage and disappointment and lack of innovation. Brace yourselves...
Yup. It's the same story with these bozos every year -- if the look of the shell doesn't change, they cannot comprehend technical innovation under the hood. How they reconcile that with the fact that software itself has no physical shell and is always changing and innovating, is a great mystery.
Bozos is right. Just look at this thread. The resident bozos have pre-condemned, pre-failed, pre-disappointed, and ridiculed the title of the invitation. And then comes the smarmy hatred of Tim Cook. These bozos are beyond the pale negative assholes who attack and demean anything, and probably not just Apple either.
Count not agree more. This gets so old. I wish these people would flood over to Google where they would really have something to complain about.
