  • Apple's Cook receives first time-based stock grant since 2011, incentivizes tenure into 20...

I don’t know, but if he needs incentive to stay, it’s time for him to go.

“Unparalleled innovation” yeah like 800 dollar wheels with no brakes. Novel concept. Or a 1000 dollar bar of aluminium (also to be used as a monitor stand). Truly innovative.

  • DuckDuckGo announces new Apple MapKit fueled search improvements

I found DDG’s results to be very US focused and since I don’t live in the US a lot of the results weren’t relevant to me.
There’s a little flag icon with a toggle switch for the country your IP address originates from, switch it on and you’ll get results more relevant to your location.

  • Best alternatives to Adobe Photoshop for iOS and Mac

Ever since Adobe went with a subscription model I stopped using it. For UI design I use Sketch, for Photo retouching either Acorn for quick jobs, or Affinity Photo for the complex stuff. For Illustrations Affinity Designer rules. And also Procreate on my iPad for drawing with the Apple Pencil. You don’t need Adobe these days. Their software isn’t best of breed. Hasn’t been for quite a while.

  • OpenGL, OpenCL deprecated in favor of Metal 2 in macOS 10.14 Mojave

In response to the Steam game question - I received a message about a couple of my games not being supported in 10.13 (for future macOS versions). Just installed the 10.14 beta today, ran an update on steam and the message disappeared and my old games continue to run fine. So I guess that’s a good sign.
I think you mean the warning for 32-bit apps. That’s an entirely different issue and the warning just stated that 32-bit apps will stop working with future versions of the OS (without saying which one).
