Another company that made millions by getting a free ride on selling user data, now complains that they have to earn the right to use that data by building trust first. Cry me a river .

So they have a CISC architecture that requires more transistors than a RISC design like the M1 and they are using a 10nm process while Apple is already at 5nm. Sounds like a plan.

Why do they aim so low? If they want to build the best cars they'll have to go with German or Japanese engineering. Not Hyundai, yet another Korean me-too manufacturer...

I don’t know, but if he needs incentive to stay, it’s time for him to go. “Unparalleled innovation” yeah like 800 dollar wheels with no brakes. Novel concept. Or a 1000 dollar bar of aluminium (also to be used as a monitor stand). Truly innovative.

So now along with micro aggressions we have micro inventions.

Hypocrite. Meanwhile Borderlands 3 was available for 6 months exclusively on their own store, and now you can get the PC version on Steam. The Mac version is only available on their Epic store, nowhere else. Discounts are crap there. Well Epic, f*ck…

Initially InDesign was lacking, but people were eager to get off QuarkXPress. Quark annoyed everybody with insane pricing, hardware dongles, stability problems, and the transition of QuarkXPress from 68k to PPC was a mess. People were really looking…

I’m really not a fan of the colorful sidebar icons. The Mac is used a lot by designers (I am one), and too much color is generally a bad idea, because it just makes the UI more noisy with no upside. It doesn’t make things easier to find, because the…

Ever since Adobe went with a subscription model I stopped using it. For UI design I use Sketch, for Photo retouching either Acorn for quick jobs, or Affinity Photo for the complex stuff. For Illustrations Affinity Designer rules. And also Procreate …

Too many games are 32 bit and will never be updated, so Mojave will probably be the last macOS my MBPro at home will ever run.

What about loot boxes with items that are purely cosmetic? ESO has them. I don’t buy them, but sometimes I still get et to open some because I collected a bunch of diamonds or whatever they’re called.

Time to switch! Corel is a software graveyard. Alternatives: VMWare Fusion (better anyway) Virtual Box (free & open source)

Haven’t used Adobe products ever since they switched to a subscription model. Sketch for UI, Icon, and web design, for illustrations Affinity Designer (also pretty cool for UI design btw), for advanced photo retouching Affinity Photo. Pixelmators P…
