iPad Pro vs Surface Pro features and specs showdown
So with iPadOS experience on my 12.9 inch iPad Pro, I can move completely over from my Surface, it has better battery life, lighter, more performance, always connected and last but not least better innovative Apps that don’t exist on Windows or Mac OS, or if they do, are limited. I love pointing up my iPad to the night sky with app’s like StarmapHD, Star Walk ... I love the powerful games (Apple Arcade just looks awesome), support for game controllers ... Last but not least the new way multitasking is implemented is just awesome for my productivity apps ... On holiday now I’m always connected, planning our trip with a slew of App’s just not available or not that easy to use on standard desktop platforms ... It truly is the first time I really believe Apple is on to something, the vision of what iPad could do is finally taking shape (hey even remotely managing my servers with TeamViewer and AnyDesk is a charm with mouse support). It’s only a start, if they move further in this direction adding features like external monitor support (where you can use trackpad or mouse to do even more powerful things will make the traditional OS a thing of the past) -
Developers sue Apple over $99 annual fee, mandatory pricing increments of $0.99
- Your bandwidth costs and infrastructure would be more then 99 a year ...
- You can setup your own pricing outside the store, I trust Apple with my information, not some developer that has probably all the good intentions, but not the security and scale ...
My guess it's people with bad intentions that want to brake open the security chains ... I hope common sense will prevail, if you want open insecure cheap go android, if you want secure go iOS ... -
AT&T CEO claims HBO will glean consumer data from Apple TV viewers
If you want to have HBO in the ATV App you need an HBO subscription, the stream itself comes from HBO, so they now perfectly what you are watching, but they don't get all the other stuff, they do not know what else you are watching trough the ATV app ... this all discussion is semantics ... he is just trying to damage Apple's reputation, I just do not get why ...

Waze celebrates 'Tim Cook Day,' says Apple Maps' botched launch led to success
I use both, they recommend exactly the same routes for me (Belgium), with waze showing arrival times that are minutes to optimistic and Maps to pessimistic, so I arrive on time with Maps and sometimes not with waze. The guiding and accuracy of maps is way better, in tunnels for example especially where you have exits, apple maps is so smart it uses accelerometer and indicates perfectly where I'm in the tunnel WITHOUT GPS reception, where waze is clueless, traffic info is the same. So what do I do, I use Maps for navigation, and waze just runs in the background without navigation but just for alerts of police that is it. Graphically and lane assist on Maps is also cleaner ... Also the fact that Maps and calendar integration is perfect means I rarely enter addresses anymore, and got I love AppleCarplay, it's the best thing since sliced bread, listening to music and podcasts sending and receiving texts, and never loose track, gold!
