  • Apple leaker confirms Oct. 13 'iPhone 12' event, Pro models arriving later

Apple should slide the schedule so new phones available first week of September every year - all models immediately available after announcement.
Are you not aware of anything that’s going on here in 2020? I hope you’re not expecting them to just “Slide the schedule” till next September. There’s been many delays in Apple’s supply chain and manufacturing sector, therefore a September iPhone release just cannot happen this time.

  • Apple updates eighth-generation iPad with A12 processor

    Same tired design. Very disappointed.
Apple execs have said many times they don't do novel change for change's sake (new colors aside). The object's design is practical, not designed to entertain bored people.

If you want something functionally different, get an Air or a Pro.
I agree. The design works. It’s easy to hold. It’s kid friendly. It’s inexpensive for what it’s capable of. Why spend more $$ on R&D for something people are already going to buy. Keep the R&D $$ and keep the price of the device low so people can afford it.

  • Apple One bundle includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and more

That’s at least $20/month savings for me. I’m in.

  • Nvidia buying ARM for record-breaking $40 billion

Obviously there are contracts in place, and Apple is rumoured to have a coveted perpetual ARM architectural license (from their acquisition of PA Semi IIRC); but since Apple has thrown their toys out of the pram over nothing w.r.t Nvidia (again) it will be interesting to see if this has any effect on the ARM-based Apple Silicon.
Nvidia just got in to benefit from the license fees due by Apple since their announcement to ARM based Apple everything being in the not so distant future.

  • What to expect from Apple 'AirTags' tracking accessory in fall 2020

What Tile patents might have been used in Apple AirTags? Is Apple in the clear or will there be another lawsuit? Tile produces the same type of item so it’s not a non practicing patent troll.
Apple will most likely be caught up in another lawsuit just because it’s Apple coming up with a device that’s better and sells more units. Google sells similar devices to the iPhone with the notch and all but there’s no lawsuit there so just because it’s a like-product doesn’t warrant a lawsuit but because it’s a like-product from Apple there will be a lawsuit.
