  • Apple Watch Series 10 review roundup: A strong annual upgrade

I was really looking forward to upgrading from my S8 but there’s just no reason. There’s no new sensor that that would warrant it. And the extremely low trade-in prices in S8 only make the decision easier. They offer $130 for my 45mm LTE watch that I just got replaced by Apple 2 weeks ago.

The sleep apnea feature is probably the best reason for the upgrade, but I worn my series 8 day and night for about a year which completely killed the battery making it just crappy enough to be super annoying and not bad enough to get it replaced by Apple with AppleCare plus. Not doing that again.
My series 6 is at 82%, which I charge after waking up and before I go to bed so I can use it overnight and during the day.

  • macOS Sequoia backs five USB-C port Mac mini rumors

If we consider that EU is forcing USB-C only. Then that means new keyboards, mice, and trackpads that are USB-C. Then there is a downside for including USB-A on the mini as it needs some ports to charge and some to use for some other devices.
    The mini doesn't charge
The wireless keyboard, mouse and trackpad do charge. Often the devices are charged from the computer, or sometimes have to be plugged in to fix a sync issue.

  • A unique attack could steal your passwords from Apple Vision Pro

I frankly do not understand how this could potentially work on the Apple Vision Pro. The eyes are totally covered by the device. there is no way to watch the users eyes from let’s say a remote camera (the eyes on the front display are not real) . The hacking software would already need to run on the Vision Pro, which would’ve meant that the device is  anyway already severely compromised and most likely passwords and everything else are accessible to the hacker. Maybe in some European Union side loading scenario this is possible if the user unintentionally installed the software from a hacked App Store.
It is fixed. It never ran on the AVP. It worked by watching users of AVP persona which relayed what users were looking at.

  • iPhone users still aren't rushing to buy the latest models

The new phones have Secure Enclave, which brings hardware based privacy lights for the camera. Before this, it was software, which can be changed. With hardware it will be much harder to mess with the light by malware.
