EU antitrust chief & Apple foe Margrethe Vestager out after 10 years
tlinn said:I will forever be grateful to the Europeans for forcing Apple to adopt USB-C. But the idea that Apple shouldn't be compensated for developing a platform that allows thousands of developers to make a living, or that the "fair" amount of compensation should be decided by developers seems ridiculous to me. Apple is not a charity, nor do they exist to be the world's R&D department. Much of what the Europeans are doing feels like protectionism.
That said, there are plenty of examples where Apple disadvantages its own customers and stifles innovation—like forcing all browsers to use the same engine. This is where government action should focus. -

i am pretty sure that Steve Jobs thought or said phones should be able to be used with one hand. I happen to agree with Steve on that.
The problem is that consumers gravitate towards features that seem cool in the beginning, but end up regretting their decision shortly thereafter. A lot of people I know that bought the huge phones HATE them because they are so huge to carry around. Only a few people I know searched out the smaller phones, but everyone that has the smaller phones loves them. Weird, huh? -

This is a rumor. It may or may not be true. That said more memory is more power used which means larger battery needed. Both of which means more heat generated. It may be a case where the bigger phone allows for more space inside to add this in and to allow spreading the heat out. The larger phone case also acts like a bigger heat sink. Apple cannot disobey physics. -
