A possible scenairo:

Agent Orange laughed all the way to the bank to deposit those billionaire's million(s). dollar(s) checks. A few days later he screwed every one of their corporations with his tax scheme he calls tariffs. The guess is that in less than six months, there will be lots of folks dying from lack of food, medicine and or medical care and the maniac will be laughing along with his boss, the Bear.

By then, most of the middle class's assets will have had such a significant hit that retirement will become an exercise keeping starvation away and trying to stay healthy enough not to need the exorbitantly priced meds no longer covered by Medicare or Medicaid along with no social security checks (the annuity they paid for their entire working life).

When the country degenerates far enough, Agent Orange will get in his personal Boeing 757 and fly to his reward with the Bear. Too bad for all those that thought this was their savior as they lack their own jet to get away from the disaster.

This is not a five minute upgrade so allow perhaps 30 minutes depending on your "download from Apple" speeds and model of iPhone.

From personal experience, Musk desperately needs some competition to help control his greed in the prices he charges for services.

I have had a Platinum level Amex card since 1968. (Before it became Amex it was Patterson Travel Service) The number of places that accept the card has dwindled every year. It is our travel card for airline tickets and hotels and is the card to have in an emergency. The long term relationship is a plus in our credit rating.

We also have CostCo City Bank and Apple Pay that I carry daily. We usually get more than $1k back annually for each of these accounts.

We have Wells Fargo accounts at a local branch used for cash access with our debit cards and handling the "Old Folks" accounts.

Amex worked okay for CostCo for us and was still accepted in the UK CostCo last time we were over there.

So having the three top Financial flavors in hand is okay with us. Really have no preference which way Apple goes as it will be transparent to us, the users.

So the latest release of 18.4 disables my ability to use the trigger mechanism of the App Store to check for updates on my iDevices. There has been no obvious updates to my apps and there are always updates available every morning.
