  • Apple launches iPhone 13 with A15, smaller notch & more

The wife likes her original SE, and i suspect she will go for a 12 mini when the time comes mainly due to the colour options!

For the lack of real cpu fanfare, i am guessing they have focused on the macbook pro 14 & 16 switch - they will need the volume there and the highest performance improvements. I reckon an October reveal will surprise all 😎. The one big commitment Apple made was the Intel to Asi switch deadline and i cannot see them messing that up. I suspect the iPhone 14 next year will get a much more dramatic update.

  • Apple adds Windows Precision Touchpad to Boot Camp, eight years late

I find it difficult to believe that boot camp is going out of the window due to apple silicon. There will simply be a pause/lull whole microsoft sorts it's arm64 licensing and software out. It's just that it'll take a little longer for everything to align.

  • UK NHS coronavirus app update blocked for breaking Apple, Google rules

When we go into a pub (bar) or restaurant, we are supposed to scan the qr code in the venue window which lets the app know where we are in case we need to be notified of an outbreak from someone who was there.

I guess the NHS has decided to collect this information from the phone to a central server so they can call is if we need to quarantine.

This collection of data i guess is the reason for the update rejection.

Previously we would have to leave our name and address before entering the venue - on paper. Then the owner would call people up if they had a reported outbreak.

oh the fun of it all !

  • Apple rumored to invest $3.6B in Kia to produce 100,000 'Apple Cars' per year

In the UK, Kia have been making the niro for some time now. They have begun to expand the range of cars under the Niro name, however their car has had the best and most reliable driving range except Tesla - which costs twice the price. So, they know a thing or two about electric cars and their batteries/drivetrain irrespective of the fact that historically they have leant towards the more budget end of the market.

If they team up with Apple who specialise in style, quality, design and build quality - then this could be a very good solution for Apple's first car.

  • iOS 15 will cut support for iPhone 6s and original iPhone SE, report claims

We have an original iphone se which runs exceptionally well with ios 14. I think because it needs less cpu to power the smaller screen it is more efficient than a 6 or 6s. So, crossing fingers it will get the ios 15 update when it comes. Lovely small phone ....
