  • Qualcomm CEO touts improved relationship with Apple after bitter legal dispute

He has to put a positive spin on things but the reality is Apple was able to redefine their relationship which limits QC ability to earn money off them in the long run. It didn't quite work out as Apple wanted but they got what they needed which was enough time and IP to build their own solution. Due to QC sheer amount of IP Apple will still need to pay some license fees but those won't be on the basis of sales like it was before. To be honest I was surprised QC settled like this because this really does suit Apple, they were even able to buy Intel's IP in the end.

  • Apple's anticompetitive behavior has 'gotten worse,' Tile tells congressional panel

Not sure Apple is targeting Tile, it’s just unfortunate fall out from Apple improving the security of the platform and developing new features. Tile need to remember they are a guest on Apple’s platform. Apple is not stopping them from going to other platforms which would be anticompetitive. Apple should be free to change their platform and develop new products even if they compete with other companies that choose to build their businesses on top of Apple’s products. This is always a risk when you build on top of or use someone else’s work.
Tile has hardly evolved or diversified as a business since coming on to the scene. The smartphone makers were always in a much better position to deliver a more seamless and integrated experience simply because they created the platform. Tile should have either evolved into other products or looked to be acquired by Google or Apple.

  • Hands on with Apple Arcade in iOS 13

Only had a small amount of time to play with the service on my iPad but it seems very promising. Game play is just as good whether playing directly on my iPad or using my PS controller. There are no games which jump out as being amazing, these are only the launch titles. I'm very positive about the service simply because the sheer number of great game developers Apple has managed to get on board. I can't wait for Apple to release the new versions of AppleTV and macOS so I can play the games on my Mac and TV.

  • Hands on with Apple Arcade in iOS 13

All game developers have had to make their games work on iOS, iPadOS, macOS and AppleTV. They've also had to make them work with touch screens, keyboard & mouse and game controllers regardless of what hardware/OS their games are played on. I think Apple has released some behind the scene stories from game developers about the unique challenges these requirements posed when they were developing games for Apple Arcade.
