Goldman Sachs may be trying to get out of its Apple Card deal
forgot username said:Goldman Sachs also badly managed the card. They made it impossible to use financial management apps like Quicken, let alone Quickbooks, or even to view activity on the web. Big spenders need those abilities. And Goldman hasn’t taken much advantage of the benefits of being iPhone-centric. How about free Apple products, or at least swag for good customers? Free AirTag holders, which cost next to nothing. It comes off as amateur hour, with a pretty interface. Most people don’t want to hassle with managing a card with a proprietary, annoying, interface. -
Siri may lose the 'hey' in Apple's iOS 17 changes
Yikes; tell me it aint so. As a big fan of TB Rays and close follower of center fielder Jose Siri I fear my four HomePods will go spastic and explode as I watch MLB TV and see Jose Siri continue his homerun streak. It is not unusual for those calling the play-by-play to mention Jose’s surname 20-30 times during nine innings. And as others here have mentioned, I already get an occasional interruption when HomePod thinks it hears “Hey Siri” from nearby audio diaglog (often when I am listening to Sirius radio). And as far as My HomePods only activating on my unique voice, it simply does not work. -
Critical security flaw is exposing older Wemo Smart Plugs to hackers
I have about a dozen of these Wemo plugs purchased over the last four years (the latest being 2 with Thread). But how do I actually identify the flawed ones? Is it the larger unit as shown in the article (mine has no V2 designation). Or does the V2 refer to firmware version? I definitely will trash/pull off network the bad ones but the article should be more specific on how to identify them. I did just check Belkin website but found no info regarding this newly discovered security flaw. -
