Rachio abandons HomeKit for its smart garden sprinkler
Something in iOS 16 is negatively effecting HomeKit. All my Thread devices stopped working (No Response; ReadWrite Fail Error). Did delete/factory reset on Eve and Nano thread devices but could not add them back into HK. Yet older non-thread devices stored away were easily added back into HK and working fine. But my three HomePod minis have disappeared from my HK App even so they still trigger devices when asking Siri or using remote commands. Also, several online posts over past few days reveals users having trouble with timer activations. Am wondering if Apple's roll-out of Matter is causing issues with Thread. -

T-Mobile users angered by iPhone 14 preorder failures
I am a TMO customer and do like their 5G coverage as well as all the free perks (Netflix, Apple TV, Paramount, Shell fuel, etc). But, for a tech company as big as TMO they really need to improve. Their App sucks and seldom works. I bought three new items today within 5 minutes after 0800 but all by using the Apple App. Never gave a thought to use TMO's website. -
Tesla, BMW don't appear to be gearing up to join Apple's new CarPlay vision

But Chadbag is wrong to assume we are all a-holes. I am one if the nicest guys on the road. I do use Apple Music with my car and sometimes Apple Maps. Everything works great together, but I do not want to use any version of CarPlay that replaces my instrument panel with an Apple look. Apple screens in CarPlay look so cartoonist. I am happy with BM OEM display clusters and options.
I did say it was a stereotype and not all members of a stereotyped class will actually match the stereotype. But enough do to create the stereotype.
A good friend of mine just recently ordered a BMW (upgrade from his Mazda). He is the nicest guy in the world. I kidded him about joining the a-hole class. We had a good laugh about that. Another friend ofmine works for BMW bank in the US and of course drives a BMW. He is reasonbly nice as well. But almost every day I see a BMW being driven in such a way as it reinforces the stereotype.
Even 30 years ago when I lived in Germany working for DEC the BMW drivers kind of had the reputation as all the (male) businessmen with company supplied BMW cars drove like the rules of the road didn't apply to them. (Like instead of waiting in line in the left turn lane at an intersection they would go down the normal lane and at the last minute turn left outside the normal people turning and then cut them off -- saw that sort of thing regularly). -
