  • Lock Socket Review: Effective charger loss prevention

    This article should have been posted on 1st April, I wouldn’t work for more up to date sockets and would be completely useless in the UK. Plus why would you fix a charger to a socket in your own home, particularly when you can by a new plates for wall sockets in your home that have USB A and/or USB C ports built in.  :)

  • Parallels working to bring Windows 11 to Mac

    I’m running windows 11 pro ARM it was an update available through the Insider Preview.  I updated a windows 10 VM to Windows 11 with parallels.  In the hardware option you can click add and include a TPM module.  The feature is available in the Parallels Pro Edition, not sure about the standard edition.  

    It worked for me and I have windows 11 pro ARM running on my M1 MacBook Air with no noticeable slowdown.

  • Apple's AirPods Max likely lacks U1 Ultra Wideband chip

    Seriously Apple , I am a genuine audiophile and understand that you can pay £1000 + Sennheiser HD 800 headphones that are out of this world.  The £500 + price tag is too expensive for most consumers who know that Beats and Bose headphones are great premium headphones in the £300 range. They won’t appeal to professionals who shop in the £1000 + range either.   It’s at a crazy price point, £350 would have put it above the AirPods Pro yet still within reach for people looking for Apple designed headphones. 

    I love Apple products and even defended the Mac Pro price, because it is aimed at a particular market.

    The AirPods Pro sit between two markets and I may be wrong , but I don’t see strong sales, outside or early adopters with money, who just love Apple Stuff.
