  • Jony Ive's exit from Apple caused by company culture changes and growing frustration

Apple is better off with I’ve gone.  It is releasing its best products ever.   That wouldn’t be the case if Ive was still there.   His focus on thinness and such would have ensured the current product line never existed.   We’d have pro laptops that were super slim, overheating, horrible keyboards, 1/4 the battery life and one port only.

  • Everything we know about the 'iPhone 14 Pro' so far

You can also get rid of the bump by making the phone thicker, no new tech needed

  • Senate lawmakers introduce bill targeting Apple App Store, Google Play

2/3 Republicans erroneously believe the last election was fraudulent, despite 60+ cases challenging the election being thrown out for a complete lack of evidence.  Lawyers for Trump admitted they had no evidence of fraud.

Here is the relevance:     Because of that, republicans are seeking to blame tech companies. Tech companies are shutting down garbage conspiracy theories, and the republicans are mad about it.

It’s not about Epic.  Epic is nothing.   It’s about power.  And tech companies are undermining Republican power grabs.   So republicans are trying to shut tech down.

    It’s as simple as that.

  • 14-inch & 16-inch MacBook Pro rumored to get 1080p webcam

I’m going to repeat what another observer here said.  The screens on the MacBooks are much thinner than the iPhones and iPads, so it’s harder to fit a camera in the MacBook screens.

That is one cost of a super thin screen:
no room for a good camera.

  • Judge rules Tim Cook must sit through seven-hour 'Fortnite' deposition

I really hope the solution is allowing third party app stores. That would break the monopoly and still allow customers to make the decision as to whether they prefer a tightly controlled app ecosystem or a less restrictive app environment.

It would also break Apple's reputation for rock solid stability, privacy and security.   No Thank You!   It's one of the reasons I buy Apple products.
it wouldn't...as long as you do not install Apps from 3rd party app stores. And a very small percentage (<0.1%) of people would dare install Apps from 3rd party app stores, so it wouldn't make a difference to the Apple's ecosystem in reality. Not sure why you think it would break Apple's reputation.
You have no basis to make this assumption.  More likely it would end up, over time, that people get their apps from a variety of places. And screw up reliability, privacy, etc.
