iPod nano had a very different OS, one appropriate for the battery size.  We're pretty used to the iOS experience, and if Apple released another RTXC product I think customers would be disappointed.  To release a device with a more modern OS, they would need a truly next gen battery.  

Interesting that comments are allowed here, but not on the article about Russian banks suing for Apple Pay being disabled.  For that article I wanted to comment, "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes." But it is accurate here as well.  If Russia be petty and go after companies that pulled out because of the Ukrainian invasion they are just going to make it less likely that the companies will return if relations with the country normalize in the future.  I'm sure they are just laying the groundwork for a classic, "We can make all of this go away if you resume operating in the country immediately." Time will tell if companies fall for it.

Speaking about deeply, deeply unethical companies, it feels really icky to be on the same side as the Koch Group, could they maybe just not support Apple???

DAMN IT!!!  I got so excited when I saw a headline that started, "Tesla adds Apple Wallet support..."  This has to be the most evil and depressing personally targeted clickbait ever.  Well maybe someday they'll add support for the other thing they are selling.  (And NOT rocket trips to Mars thank you!)

This is a good idea and I might forward the article to my insurance company because this should be an option everywhere.

I've owned a few Schlage deadbolt products, and while the app leaves quite a bit to be desired, I have been satisfied enough that I'll pick one of these up once available and pass on my current HomeKit/keypad product to a family member.  Looking forward to Apple Home Key!
