That’s an upgrade I won’t be getting - the periscope option was going to be the key reason to return to the iPhone Pro. I love the size of my Mini, but the prospect of the periscope lens would have been compelling. I can only hope this is inaccurate - but it does make sense for the Ultra to get something unique.

Periscope lens - yes! Solid-state buttons - whatever. Right now the camera is the iPhone’s most important feature for me. I don’t play games, so the speed of the CPU is less critical. What is critical is a reliable cell connection, and Apple has no control over that. Verizon has terrible connectivity issues several miles around my home. I admit it, I’d love to see an Apple owned/designed/maintained cellular network. I’d happily pay the tax.

I currently own the iPhone 13 mini and love it’s form-factor, but I also admit many apps simply won’t scale down to its screen size, and I often can’t find buttons. And the keyboard is a bit tiny. So I hope that the periscope lens will be in the normal 15 Pro.

I lived in Bethesda, MD when it opened. Tyson was the primo mall at the time and was an excellent choice for Apple. I was a PC guy at the time, so I blew it off - silly man. But I also remember how the stores rose and spread, and how impressed with their layouts I became. Today I look forward to visiting the stores here in Miami any chance I get just to hang out… oh, and to mock the Microsoft (and few Samsung) stores as well.

I’m a big fan of this series, lots of great over-the-top drama and seriously fun characters. It has a Aaron Sorkin ensemble feel, but with less misogyny. Looking forward to the next drop.

EVERY tech company has some sort of tie in to China’s infrastructure and consequently their military. I buy Apple even though they are built in factories that pay their workers pathetic wages by our standards, but Apple’s investment has brought up the living standards there too. As for DJI, they are one of the reasons Ukraine is beating the Russians. The affordability and performance of their drones makes them a unique weapon that’s changed war tactics. I support and buy DJI.
