  • Apple's 15-inch MacBook Air: Rumors, and what to expect

Shouldn’t be an Air. Should be a MacBook or MacBook Studio. Single fan design. M2 of course, and *possibly* M2 Pro option, especially if they go with the Studio moniker.

This completely replaces the 13.3” Pro and ends the Touch Bar.
Exactly what I’d hope: a MacBook Studio w/ M2 Pro. Perfect device. 👍

  • Mac mini, 14-inch & 16-inch MacBook Pro rumored to get M2 Pro in the next year

There’s a really big problem with all these new variations of M2: we can’t even get M1 Mac Studio w/ M1 Ultra until September, and the backlog on M1 Max laptops is pretty damned long too. If these M2’s are just around the corner - I’ve waited this long, I’ll wait longer…as might other Mac users. I believe that the reason the Mac Pro M was not introduced this year was out of fear of cannibalizing M1 Mac Studio and other high-end Mac devices. Byte the bullet Apple, just write off the delayed M1 units and start delivering the M2 thingies. If you can just drop in a new M2 into the existing MacBook Pro 13”, you should be able to do the same with all other variants.

  • Apple 'Studio Display Pro' delayed until October, according to display analyst

The Mac Studio is an excellent value -v- performance deal…not so the Display. It’s stupid overpriced! Stupid. Way.

if it had been $990 with adjustable/removable stand, it would have been just barely acceptable - especially with the terrible reviews of its cam and software integration.

if the Pro model comes out as expected, it’ll be $3000 w/o adjustable stand. Again, Stupid overpriced.

but this does all beg the question: with this designation, will we be getting an Apple Studio Pro, instead of a Mac Pro? Hmmmm…🤔

  • Apple Together group invokes Steve Jobs as it protests Return to Work policy

"If we take a moment to reflect on our unbelievable product launches this past year, the products and the launch execution were built upon the base of years of work that we did when we were all together in-person.”

Interesting, because in many other corporate interviews, leads have stated that the Pandemic loosened the productivity stranglehold that so often prevented cross-pollination of ideas. Even the head of the entire M1 design team admitted this.

The Spaceship was designed to stimulate  innovation, but because of its security layers, no one could actually connect. It fostered a Cast System within Apple that nearly derailed productivity and worker morale. Since remote work has been implemented, they’ve seen extraordinary leaps In usability and worker morale.

Perhaps the Spaceship should be repurposed into the greatest Tech and Innovation Museum ever built.

  • Apple Studio Display review: How badly do you want an all-Apple experience?

Screen picture is visibly brighter than my LG 5k, even "feels" bigger. Definitely disappointing that it's not HDR or mini-LED, but… I dunno. It's not disappointing.
Very happy you’re happy. Not being sarcastic. 👍 I just feel for almost $2000 it absolutely should have had mini-LED. That said, I love my iMac Pro 5K screen, it’s always been the best. But I can still be frustrated that a premium product like this should have included the mini-LED array tech. 😢
