Apple should politely request access to features inside Meta and Chrome devices. Fair is fair, after all. Can the EU, in good faith, not make that happen through rules and fines to the others? Would their excuses be honored and not Apple's?

I'm confused. "I was set on building a clone of an existing computer — a computer from Apple no less, with a full 68000 and GUI." Okay, so what are the "modern parts" cited in the article's title? A 68000 is hardly modern.

Not "impossibly thin borders" or they couldn't have been achieved.

Customers (remember them?) will be disappointed if the new CEO doesn't grok the spirit of the company, no matter how good an administrator they happen to be. I think that's why Tim Cook suggests his replacement should come from inside, so the new person has been steeped in Apple culture. Gil Amelio failed terribly. Angela Ahrendts was smart enough to understand but had trouble executing. And Jony Ive is not CEO material for a large organization. Let's leave him alone to design thin things.
