iPhone 12 'supercycle' increasingly likely based on supply chain trends
Agree w Lkrupp above. Analysts who want to make a quick buck buying on the dip and selling after some news that causes a temporary increase. It’s WAY too early to know how these phones will sell. iPhone always has a great 1st 3 months of sales. Given the economic uncertainty around the world - at least until there’s a vaccine - this can’t be taken seriously. -
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro pre-order results beat iPhone 11 launch, Kuo says
Of course AT&T wants more $$$ for adding 5G service, so they’re hoping to earn it back.randominternetperson said:At least in the US, the carriers are being much more aggressive about subsidizing new phones for new and existing customers this time around. I know nothing is truly "free" but in practical, dollar-and-cents many customers with a 3-year-old phone can trade it in (and re-up for 2.5 years) and get a free high-end phone. That'll be great for Apple's bottom line.

Under-display Touch ID on an iPhone is still coming, leaker claims
My sentiment too. UTS is better; but would have settled for the power button implementation too.And even after researching and discovering I’d have to upgrade my AT&T plan ($20 extra/no).said:pulseimages said:It’s what I’m waiting for and until Apple includes Touch ID/Face ID I won’t be upgrading.

Apple confirms Oct 13th event to announce new 'iPhone 12' family
M68000 said:Here’s hoping for surprise of ultrasonic under screen Touch ID. Probably not likely this year but PLEASE Apple get it for next year’s iPhones. I may hold onto my iPhone 8 Plus if it’s not coming this year but will gladly trade it in for new Touch ID when it does.
Same here (my 7+ is still great; iOS14 very fast). Although I would take the iPad’s TouchID on the power button too. Since there have been no leaks I think our chances are 0 for this year.

Apple's 'iPhone 12' debut will be 'most significant iPhone event in years,' says Morgan St...
Mixed emotions: on one hand with world economies still reeling, unemployment up in many countries, from COVID, that’s a giant YoY prediction which seems very unlikely to be hit. And 5G, the key new feature, still not widely rolled out. Of course, not being able to travel or go out snd do much of anything, a lot of people who did not lose their jobs are sitting on a lot of money.
