  • iPhone 15 Pro will have blistering performance, claims leaked benchmarks

Don't know what version of Geekbench they are running, but Geekbench 5 for the iPhone 13 Pro is 1,745 for Single-Core and 4,796 for Multi-Core.  So if that is a newer version of Geekbench, they changed the scale to give it higher numbers, as they claim the 13 Pro is 2,260 and 5,427.

Downloaded Geekbench 6 and my iPhone 13 Pro is now 2,275 for single, and 5,536 for multi.  Wonder why they changed the scale to make the numbers higher, when version 4 to 5 actually adjusted the scale for lower numbers.

  • Apple cutting costs with bonus payment changes, hiring freeze

I fail to see how taking a company like Apple which has record profits doesn't just keep going status quo. It's not like they cannot afford it. I'm glad Apple isn't following suit and being ridiculous in laying people off because they "think" a recession is coming at some point but it would be nice to see them just not putting extra profits over keeping employees happy.
The recession is looming.  Inflation at an all time high.  And even Apple's operating costs have increased because water, power, natural gas, have all gone up in price.  Apple is laying people off through attrition.  They are not replacing people that leave.  Same as laying people off because they redistribute the work to others and have them take on more work.  They just did that when a VP of Design left and those duties are now passed on to someone else and the position not being replaced or filled.  So that makes them 'look good' by not publicly announcing layoffs, but the people have to take on more work for the same pay because Apple won't fill the now vacant position.  They just eliminate it instead.

  • New OLED iPad Pro will probably cost as much as a MacBook Pro

Apple thinking an OLED screen will save the day for the iPad with an $1800 price, while leaving it crippled with iPadOS that cannot even take advantage of the CPU, and no pro level apps available for it, not even Apple's own pro apps.  Final Cut Pro, buy a Mac.

Well, guess that means Apple doesn't have to build its own TV set. Other mfrs. are sure to follow, as they always do when features are added. I own a Samsung, and the Apple TV app does NOT work. I have and Apple TV 4K, so it's not a problem, but it makes me switch inputs and use a second remote when I want to see Apple content.
Yep, the Apple Discussion Forums are full of users trying to get the Apple TV app to work properly on their Android based TVs.
I think he means his TV is too old to support the AppleTV app.  Only recent Samsung TVs support it, and it works just fine.
