  • Apple MR headset may be delayed by software problems

What about the problem with no one wanting them?  With inflation and a looming recession and most living paycheck to paycheck, people have much higher priorities than wasting $3,000 on a pair of Apple goggles that probably won't do much.  Apple thought the iPhone 14 Plus was a such a great idea, and look how bad that turned out.  Apple severely cut back on production because no one wants it.

  • Apple rolling out nudity-blurring child safety feature to more countries

This goes back to when teens would watch scrambled Cinemax or HBO late at night hoping to catch a glimpse of a boob!  Parents should be parents and monitor their children's activities, rather than Apple playing police man or second parent.  Like what Oldenboom said.  In some countries, nudity is way more normal than in the US, and we weren't born dressed.  Of course child porn, extortion, and bullying is horrible, but it seems Apple wants to block everything that they deem inappropriate.  What if it is an image of famous artwork that contains nudity?  Apple will block it claiming it might be unsafe to view, when it is a piece of art.

  • Pro photographer shot the Super Bowl on an iPhone 14 Pro Max

I bet the 14 Pro Max also applied horrible HDR computations to the video compared to his other professional video equipment.  Apple needs to restore the feature to turn off the SmartHDR, that was present in the iPhone 12 and earlier models.  Or at least allow the ability to retain both the original photo and the one with HDR applied so we can choose.  Not everything needs HDR, and Apple's computations can ruin the look of the photos, making them look like nothing the original view that you were looking at when you took the photo.

  • Intel has a faster processor than M2 Max, but at what cost?

I would hardly call the Intel laptop unusable without being plugged in.  The article failed to mention that Luke's test on battery only demonstrated the same hard-core video editing/export only to see how performance was affected and how much battery draw took place.  He did not test normal general use on the battery.  He only demonstrated what would heavily tax the CPU.

Considering 95% of people use a laptop while it is plugged in, what is the big deal?  Most people only use it on battery to go attend a meeting and then go back to their desk and plug it back in.  Considering the Intel laptop is targeted at gamers, it will likely be plugged in when playing games.  He also demonstrated plugging it into an HDTV 4K to test the gaming performance and it did quite well.  A gamer would buy the Intel PC laptop over a MacBook any day of the week.  Luke did a fair comparison of both laptops and both have their pros and cons, but he never called the Intel laptop unusable if it wasn't plugged in.  It is a laptop for a different market, and yes, it has incredible specs for being inside a laptop.  Would I buy it?  No, not into a gaming laptop with disco lights.  I would bet you could turn off the disco lights.

  • 'Find My' pinpoints location of crash victim stranded overnight

Would it be ironic if she was distracted by her iPhone, which caused her to crash? Glad she's safe now.
Highway 18 is in the mountains, so likely snow and ice and driving too fast for weather conditions led to the crash.
