  • Electric vehicle maker Polestar beats Tesla to Apple CarPlay

Elon Musk said it himself, he wants to create an os built entirely by Tesla, for Tesla, and eventually built on a Tesla original code. Also the Tesla os will be run by their own “dojo” program. Not once did they think of using CarPlay to replace their own os.

  • Apple's macOS Ventura beta review: great new features, but some concerns

    Regarding Continuity Camera
Your iPhone doesn't even have to be unlocked. The Mac still recognizes that it's near, turns on the iPhone's camera,
On the face of it that sounds like a potential security vulnerability. A Mac will recognize a nearby iPhone on the same network and access the camera even if the phone is locked. I’m admittedly a bit paranoid about security but that sounds kinda’ sketchy.
The Mac in question is your personal Mac and it will connect to the iPhone you own since they have the same Apple ID. Think of it the same way your Airpods connect from your iPhone to your iPad.

  • iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch all dominate the teen technology market

Does this mean the “cool kids” abandoning AirPods were ignored by the masses?
What do you mean by “cool kids?” I’m 18 and the only people who don’t have AirPods are because they are android users or they don’t have the money to afford one.
There was a recent Wall Street Journal article claiming the cool kids were abandoning AirPods for wired EarPods. The article’s claims were regurgitated without question primarily because it was bad news that could be circulated about Apple.
Ok that makes sense I was just confused where you’ve heard that kids are abandoning AirPods over wired.

I think it was more a period of time where kids felt that Apple products were only used by snooty, pretentious old people and Android was a rebellion against them/that.  That time seems to have passed.

I remember having a similar rebellion against Windows back in the late 90s when I switched to Linux.  Though my argument was that it was nice having an operating system which could run for months/years without crashing (unlike Windows which crashed pretty much daily), so it wasn't just a fashion statement.
Yeah makes sense I personally would buy a macbook  (especially with the student discount) since they don’t crash often. However I stick with Windows since most of the classwork I do requires Windows and ray tracing is a big thing for me because I love gaming.
