  • Amazon layoffs much worse than expected, will hit 18,000

Yet Government keeps reporting high job numbers, which lets ferderal reserve keep hiking rates, destroying peoples lives , by keeping housing and rents unattainable .

    something is rigged

  • Weak demand for MacBook, Apple Watch, AirPods may have caused order cuts

I doubt anything will change, but Apple’s pricing policy is not in keeping for folks faced with increased heating bills, increased prices and wages not keeping pace with any of it. All of my previously comfortable Apple subs are under review. I’m making do with my older phone for another year. Much coveted AirPods Max are a no-go for the foreseeable*. Etc.

    *First world problems, I know
Apple is not the issue. They are a private business and face inflation pressures as well.

it is our monetary policy as well as administration engaging in a foreign war in Ukraine that is keeping up pricing pressures.

Did you see the news that Zelensky signed law to bar all dissenting news media and reporters? This on top of him arresting any Ukrainian men trying to leave the country?

There is no democracy between these two, we should stay out and stop letting Americans suffer

Nikkei Asia and that reporter is a paid mouth piece for Apple short sellers. Yes they get away with this stuff in Asia.

That report is faulty given AirPods , watch and MacBook have completely different supply chains so one “anonymous” supply chain manager in China would not have that information.

  • Apple looks to Luxshare for iPhone 15 Pro Max assembly

Be even better if Apple would divest global production from China - there are simply too many land mines in China, and keeping the supply chain free of forced labor and the like will always be problematic.

At last count there are 248 million people infected with COVID-19, and that's just the first phase.

Add to that the aggressive posture of China's wolf warrior diplomacy and you have a recipe for disaster should China further its aggressive stance in the South China Sea.
Why do you say it’s forced labor? It’s not. I am no fan of CCP but it’s not forced labor at all. People are free to work or leave. The closed loop and live in factory stuff allows worker to still work and make money instead of being locked in at their homes with doors bolted down.

in many ways, they were allowed to still work and make money compared to when we had our lock down

we didn’t have a way to work or goto school in a closed loop. People were actually given a choice there while we didn’t have a choice except stay home with Netflix

noe workers are being offered bonuses to return to work…

just a different system but don’t judge just because it’s different

  • Apple chipmaking stumbles led to less impressive iPhone 14 Pro

    I agree with above post.

Dont sweat the Apple gloom and doom stories, many of these are bought and paid for by their inferior competitors namely Samsung. Whenever you see a negative story about Apple from “Nikkei times” or a publication called  “the information”, those are both on Samsung Payroll over the years as well as various Asian suppliers looking to hit Apple for whatever reason.

my 14 Pro is amazingly fast and I came from a 13 non pro.

I can feel a difference because I still have my 13 regular as a business line.

with all the stories about stranded people even just outside of Los Angeles high way getting saved by the iPhone 14 satellite sos, I am not sure why everyone wouldn’t get a 14 if they value their life and families life above $1000?
