They have 100% competed on price here though. Especially since it comes with 16GB RAM as standard (at last!).The cost of the storage is still absurd, but with Thunderbolt/USB 3.2 it doesn't really matter.

It shows they can do it, but they just choose not to. Which is a shame, because more Mac marketshare gives a better experience for Mac users.

Well EU citizens aren't getting Apple Intelligence due to some EU directive.. Which no doubt the EU will claim is Apple's fault for not complying, not their own for inventing a directive that cannot reasonably be met. This sort of pig-headed ignorance is a big reason why the UK left the EU.

They could have had the Apple logo be the button. Hidden in plain sight then.

Why is something as simple as a sudoku puzzle only available in the US? Ridiculous. I understand software features that require third party certifications or approvals being US-only at first, but this requires nothing extra. Apple Cash has been a thing for a long time now, and it was "coming soon" to the UK, but still not here.
