Today only: Get an 8TB 16-inch MacBook Pro for $1,899
I got one of those the last time they had a deal like that. Listing said it was New Open Box for a 32GB and 8TB that a hell of a deal. Be aware you can't get AppleCare for it I tried and no go. It's been great I do audio and more than enough speed even for big projects. Beware if any issues getting ahold of Woot is basically impossible. Being they are part of Amazon I contacted Amazon and they try to tell you to go to Woot. Finally Amazon basically said they have a Woot person they will forward my Amazon ticket to, never heard back from them. The laptop did arrive and no issues so it worked out, but I'm not sure if I would buy from Woot again. -
Amazon denies it had plans to be clear about consumer tariff costs
Let make a deal keep these tarrifs but eliminate all federal income taxes. Tariffs is how the country used to make the money they ran the country on, then around 1910 they decided to start the federal income tax program to generate the money to fund the country. So federal income tax is now a total mess with the rich and big corporations play little to no taxes and the middle class playing. So tariffs instead of income tax sounds good to me.
Tariffs have be screwing this country since it's earliest days when in the hands of greedy politicians. They love tariffs because the money just goes into a general funds that just kind of gets used up with little info on where. -

TSMC's US chip fabrication facilities lag five years behind Taiwan
TSMC has had trouble in the AZ facilities before it was even finished. Then once open a lot of problem finding qualified people to staff it and they ended up having to bring some staff in from Taiwan. Also attitude issues with the US workers unwilling to work as hard as the Taiwan workers TSMC are used to, big cultural difference. Trump trying to bring manufacturing jobs back from outside the US no matter what the industry is going to a problem. Especially when it comes to wages, US workers won't work for the same low wages overseas worker will. That's why US companies took their manufacturing overseas in the first place. Prices will escalate having to cover increased wages. -
Tim Cook says Apple's DEI program may change in the future, but only if required by law
Remember when Apple was the company with all the "Think Different" posters, Apple proud of it cult status going it's way, not Tim Cook is kissing the rump's rump. It's not like Apple is a small company that could easily be crushed by Washington, Apple is big with plenty of cash to weather any political storm for what it knows right.
