Apple pauses iOS 18, macOS 15 work to stomp bugs now
Apple you need to stop trying to meet an event schedule and releasing thing is they are ready or not, have to get to only releasing products when they are actually ready. Have your events but if something isn't ready just say so and give an estimated release date. Also build up your QA team and quit trying to use customers as beta testers, customers are terrible testers you need real QA engineers testing and documenting issues. -
First M3 benchmarks show big speed improvements over M2
Most of what Apple has done since the M1 add more graphics core and juggle the processing core and bump clock and M3 is no different. Just listen to Apples presentation and how much they say graphic when talking about performance. The know they hit point of diminishing returns for the typical Apple user with the M1. So they are focused on graphics performance for multiple reasons. If the screen is faster user think the compute speed is faster, that's an old IBM trick from OS2 days. Next Mac's are used a lot in video and graphic with long render and processing time those people see reduction in long rendering and processing times. Last Apple is talking about games but real target is video performance for the Vision Pro that is going to require lots of graphic performance. So M3 no different focus is all on use for graphics. Even for people doing audio/music work the M1 was plenty fast and little to no boost with the M2 and suspect the M3 won't help either other than addition RAM size will help people doing film composing and using lots of large sample libraries.

'Scary Fast' iMac with M3 is here with few external changes
It makes me nervous when Apple keeps talking about graphics when talking performance increase. Even the new chip features they talked about were graphics focused. Not everyone is doing high end graphics work. Sound like these chips are all about Vision Pro and the graphics workload they will have. Have to wait for sites to test but I wonder if doing audio will benefit. Audio work on M1 and M2 are about the same so how much will it change with M3. -
No Apple Watch Ultra 3 in development, says Kuo
What would be interesting to know is the percentage of Apple Watch Ultra owner who actually use them for extreme sports. The one feature of the Ultra for the average user benefits from is the extended battery life the rest is basically same as the normal Apple watches. I was temped to get one for the larger screen but those watches are gigantic especially how high they sit on your wrist. So a lot of the people buying the Ultra are just buying it to be a giant status symbol on their wrist, which Apple thanks you being a billboard for them.
Me I wish Apple would focus on the regular series of watch on maybe make them a tiny bit thicker for more battery life that's a trade off I'd make. Then continue working on new sensors to increase the health benefits of the Apple watch. That may not be flashy but it would be of value to all owners of Apple watches. -
