  • Updated 24-inch iMac expected in 2024, 32-inch iMac in 2025

Forget that stupid 24" iMac and bring back the 27" or even a new 32" iMac and I order one immediately.    I don't care M2 or M3 just a 27" or bigger iMac.

  • New AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C vs AirPods Pro 2 - compared

Apple just put out new firmware for the AirPods Pro 2 anyone knew what they updated?

I;m really happy with my APP2 I'm a musician and mainly used wired headphones but had some old AP for exercising.   The APP2 came out with ANC and I heard they sounded really good so I decided to get them.   I'm using the APP2 way more than I thought I would for Zoom phone calls, and for when watching movies on my iMac really enhances the movie sound.   As a musician I'm doing serious music listening because I can hear more details with the APP2.  So I'm really happy with my purchase of APP2.

  • Kuo: Apple Watch is seeing a big sales decline year-over-year in 2023

Apple Watch has same issue as iPhone and computers they pretty much have gone as far as they can feature wise not a lot new to add.   The watch only things left are new types of health sensors that are slow in development.   That leaves improving battery and cosmetic changes even a better screen is a minor update at this point.

  • Apple confirms iOS 17 fix for overheating iPhones is on the way

They will probably take a page from the IBM OS2 game book.  Apple will dial back performance of their chip to reduce heat on the chip that was suppose to run cooler.  Then like OS2 they will crank up the screen IO to make things appear to the user as still speedy.  I'd say Apple and TSMC has pushed out the 3nm chips before they are ready for prime time.

  • Apple's long-term demand for 3nm chips may be lower than expected

I think besides the economy the another part of the problem is chips have become so fast increases in performance are not noticeable by the average user.   Companies especially Apple kept creating background crap/apps to try and chew up some CPU cycle to create a need for more powerful chips, but the chips are handling it all just fine.    The only people really benefiting are people working in production level video.    Even people working in audio the faster chips are of little benefit.    I think this is why Apple is finally trying to get into the game market.  Hardcore gamers want and are willing to spend money on bleeding edge tech so Apple needs a presence in that market to sell its next generation chips.

So selling more powerful chips are becoming harder sell.
