Amazon Prime Video won't be ad-free in 2024 without an additional charge
The Prime stuff that has no ads currently is there own productions and a handful of movies. FreeVee is Amazon subchannel that has a big choice of movies and TV and it all has ads and I don't care they show fewer ads than over the air channels. Someone said Amazon runs previews of there shows before some of there shows, but I found if you hit fast forward when the preview starts and it skips it. I'm really happy with Amazon Prime video only gripe is they do run new movies for a rental fee and the price for those can get crazy for a rental, but some new movies that didn't do well in the theater will popup on Amazon for just a couple dollars and some are even free. So to me Amazon's video is a great perk of Amazon Prime. I haven't watched over the air TV in years since I started Amazon Prime.

iPhone 15 USB-C will fix some problems, but create issues for most
Change is normal with everything including Apple it's just part of life and we adapt and move on.
Look at Apple the Apple II was a very hugely popular computer used by schools, businesses, and at home, could run multiple OSes, but Apple came out with the Mac. The Mac was a new CPU, a new operating system MacOS, closed system, crazy expensive, and little software. Apple shoved SCSI in to the world with the Mac, a headed design with a tiny screen. Apple didn't stop changing changing chips again, dropping SCSI, at one point multiple internal busses in difference models, Apple Unix, Apple the software company Apple not a software company and owning an Mac was risky. Apple will say it was all innovation, but a lot was just to make do things there way.
This is just a port change and not the first on the iPhone, quit making such a big deal out of it. Life as you know it isn't coming to an end, at some point you'll switch and you'll have to adjust and then just moving on. But don't worry like the headphone jack disappearing Apples going to make that charging port disappear in the near future too. Now that will be a big change, but they will do it and people will live. -
Undercharged: iPhone 14 owners complain about lower battery endurance
Something that hit me is I wonder how many of the people with the fast drain on their iPhone battery are also Apple CarPlay users. I got a new car this year that had Apple CarPlay and I switched to Apple CarPlay and my battery was draining crazy fast. I decided it wasn't worth it and switched back to the default car system AAOS and my iPhone battery that is still serving up music the battery stopped draining fast. I don't know what the hell Apple CarPlay is doing other than music and maps but its keeping the iPhone real busy. -
Apple is unsurprisingly already working on A19 and M5 chips
I worked for Sun Microsystems for awhile then for one of their biggest customers. Sun made their own RISC processors the SPARC excellent chips and all they way back to 80's internally had a Mac clone we nicknamed the SparcIntosh. Working for a company that makes chips you see how far out this have to plan in order to ramp up we had estimated release date going out ten years. So when Apple said they were coming out with their own silicon I know the typical Mac user wouldn't understand how different the release schedules would be compared to Apple and their annual updates.
Now the new push is at even lower level moving to 3nm and others already working towards 2nm. For typical computer user these faster chips won't mean a thing for their phones and computers, but for future AI based products and tech that have to be run with little or no cooling on low power 2nm and 1 nm is needed. Those chip are destined to by used in car and other AI based systems.
