I'm always surprised by people's reaction to adding video chat to websites, I work for a start-up who sells this technology (Uptok - shameless plug but they are great people) and it seems like until now the U.S. market wasn't ready for this tech. Interesting move by Apple to start in the U.S. and not in locations where 1:1 video commerce is more mainstream and where populations don't have as easy access to a physical apple store.
