  • Apple could completely ditch Qualcomm's 5G modems by 2027

It is funny… at least for me. Although this came out of my head… someone could check.

For the last years… just the day before the launch of a new iPhone… Kuo launches a ‘news’ about the next year's cellphone!
Now… he is getting bolder… because it ‘announces’ something for 2047.

Long ago… some Apple Silicon Design's team said that they… ‘fixed the requirements for the design of the chip… three years in advance.’
    We are in 2024… plus 3 years… 2027!

But it is funny how Kuo and Gurman… build up expectations… specially when there are no new news…

  • iCloud storage leads the pack across Apple's entire services ecosystem

My two points… worthless as usual.

1— If I am not wrong… the Apple One bundle includes music, tv… and additional storage.
So… maybe… there is some juxtaposition in the charts.

2— Apple has other ‘services.’ Business Essentials gives storage, Apple Care, and support for small business.
I did not see any reference to that in the study.

  • If Apple TV+ abandons theatrical releases, it won't be because of money

    Xed said:
The new rules, which were passed and initially announced last year but are being put in effect for the 97th Academy Awards, will require a film to have a one-week qualifying run in six different metropolitan areas: Los Angeles County, New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas-Fort Worth. Drive-in theaters will no longer count to qualify films.
It would be nice to know which cinema's companies owns the theaters in those cities!

  • If Apple TV+ abandons theatrical releases, it won't be because of money

Great article, lord William (Stephen Robles' dixit)
My two cents… worthless as usual.

1— quote: “For Apple TV+ now has a strong reputation for the range and quality of its few shows. Plus Apple already has the biggest award of the lot, an Oscar. Granted, it was for "CODA," which is a film Apple bought in rather than made itself.”

The Oscar to the Best Picture is given to the Producer… because it choose that movie to produce… from the ones pitched!
Apple acted as a Producer… so, it is its Oscar… even if it was not made by itself.

2— The objectives of Apple TV+ are different from the ones from Hollywood.
Hollywood wants the money back as fast as possible… being DVDs and TV releases a ‘long tail’ for revenues.
Apple wants the publicity and ability to earn prizes… but its main interest is in the long term subscription of customers and value for the platform.

Not confiscating objectives but… we can't measure Apple with the Hollywood's rule.

  • Hands on: Siri starts to get better thanks to Apple Intelligence

Maybe it is too late… but we must recognize that the pre-AI Siri was more of a Voice User Interface than an ‘assistant.’ With your keyboard and mouse you search and receive web info! (Web browsers only remember you thru tracking ads!)

    Now… or in a near futue… AI-Siri will become a real ‘assistant.’
The best part is that it will preserve your privacy… like a real personal assistant. When your assistant does not know the answer… he/she/it will go to the library or the encyclopedia… well… to ChatGPT by now…
