  • Vintage Polaroids used to pitch the Apple-1 hit the auction block

These photos had been… the first marketing material… form Apple. And that was also the first sales pitch by Steve Jobs!

  • Apple Intelligence vs Grammarly -- AI powered text tool showdown

    Congrats! Excellent article.

Just a couple of clarifications that I need.

1— Apple Intelligence will not ‘create text.’ And this is ‘by design,’ similar to the decision to not generate realistic images.

2— The description of Grammarly's prices talks about ‘prompts.’
That makes me thing that the AI processing is made in Grammarly servers.

In Apple Intelligence the processing is made in the device, or in the Personal Cloud Compute with data transmitted encrypted and erased after use, and only in ChatGPT goes —with restrictions— to external servers.
I have no clue of what are the server processing conditions… if they occur… for Grammarly.

One thing that most certainly Apple Intelligence will… almost… never have is the ‘business’ level for style and/or brand style. I think it will be… at least for 5-10 years… just ‘personal.’
Also… I have no idea how Grammarly manage plagiarism.

  • Apple admits to using Google Tensor hardware to train Apple Intelligence

It is funny how much do editors and writers love to show that Apple fails… to get page views… aka ad revenue.

quote: “However, a quote buried inside the paper hints that Apple may have been using Google hardware in early development.”
Apple… almost aways… uses other's technology while it develops it own!
In 2006 the first iPhones used a Samsung processor… And where are we now?
Until 2020 the Mac used Motorola, IBM, Intel chips… And where are we now?
    Back in 1997 it included Michorsoft's browser… In 2006… Google Maps…

And we all know that Apple has already surpassed Google, Meta, OpenAI, and Microsoft in user privacy and security in the Artificial Intelligence realm!

But… showing Apple fails bring pageview… even if what you say is useless or partially fake.

  • Look out MapQuest, Apple Maps debuts on the web in beta

My two cents… worthless as usual.

1— quote: “So, finally, we've arrived 12 years later at Apple Maps on the web.”
Tim Cook always remembers us that… “Apple is for the long run…”
(Just go to look Google's cementer of apps…)

2— Why did you… or your editor… mention MapQuest in the title and then it does not appears in the body of the article?

On the other hand… somewhere there is the news that Microsoft, Amzon, and Meta put a lot of money in an open maps foundation…

  • Apple financial partner Green Dot slapped with millions in fines over hidden fees

quote: “Green Dot Bank, an Apple financial partner for Apple Cash and other services, has been fined $44 million by the Federal Reserve over its tax-preparation service. The penalty is unrelated to its role in any Apple services.”

The title of this article is the highest level of page view harvesting!
It is not false… but has nothing to REALLY do with the news!

It similar to say that… Apple's chip manufacturer TSMC did a faulty chip… for Intel.

But blaming Apple and showing it fails… bring page views… aka a revenues!

In the times of Ones wars… it was called FUD.
