Apple rumored to release iOS 26 at WWDC, instead of iOS 19
Wesley_Hilliard said:Xed said:SiTime said:So it’s going to be “iOS 26” and not “iOS 25”? Going to make it less-confusing by naming it one calendar year ahead of the actual year (car model year style)? If so, that’s fine. I’ll adjust. But doing it this way is slightly more-confusing than it needs to be. Naming it based on the actual year would have been… but whatever. Just need to remember that the actual year of release is: OS Number - 1.
It is better to be ahead for a couple of months than behind for nine. Also, iOS 26 won't be out until about a week before October, which is the beginning of the FY26. It works. -

Tim Cook marks Memorial Day with remembrance, and a message of gratitude
dewme said:I really wish the United States would designate Memorial Day as a Day of Remembrance rather than a holiday, like Canada and European countries do with similar days of national acknowledgement of significant events. In the US the meaning of Memorial Day and Veterans Day have been diluted into simply being another day off work to take advantage of mattress sales and special deals on Amazon. I know it's only a matter of what you call it, and I don't advocate forcing anyone to shut down their business on days of remembrance, but perhaps more people would take more than one minute to consider what these days mean to all Americans regardless of political affiliation, country of origin or ancestry, or any of the many differences that distinguish us as individuals. I think Tim Cook fully understands the meaning, although posting it on a divisive platform (X) run by a radicalized leader makes me a little squeamish. At least his sentiment is clear. -
Trump may have added 25% iPhone tariff specifically to punish Tim Cook
Tim Apple, this is the life you choose. Did you really think your “donation” would be a one time thing? Oh, you sweet summer child. It was never enough then, it is never enough now, and it will never be enough in the future.
If Trump tells you to “Jump”, you need to reply (with tears in your eyes) “How high, sir?”.Ask Jensen Huang for some advice. Jensen knows how the strongman-authoritarian game is played. He knows how to play the game in China. And he knows how to play the game in 2025’s America. You won’t see Jensen making such rookie mistakes. Jensen showed up with Trump on the trip and heaped tons of praise on Trump. He knows what’s up.
Just say “Siri, call Jensen”. And after Siri replies with “I found some web results…”, go into your Contacts app and call him that way.
