Anker Solix C1000X review: Useful but noisy large power bank
Might be a dumb question, but is the C1000 the same product as the C1000X? I ask because I can find a product listing for the C1000 (no-X), but I can’t find a product listing specifically for the C1000X (with the X). However, I do see there are user guides for “C1000/C10000X”. So I’m guessing it’s the same product, but one has the X added to the end for… reasons… maybe? -
New iPhone Fold leak details screen resolutions & under-display camera
Xed said:AppleZulu said:So now it’s a folding screen that’s not even that much bigger than an existing iPhone? This rumor is really doubling down on the unlikely scenario that Apple would release an iPhone that’s more fragile, will have an inferior camera due to reduced thickness, adds bloat to iOS, and costs a lot more just to deliver the brief novelty of “hey, look, it folds!” Add to that a significant chance of a hefty tariff by the time of the alleged release, and you can really figure this will never see the light of day.
I'm still waiting to see a viable use case. I feel like this is the Netbook all over again, except at least with those they were cheap so everyone was producing them in droves... except Apple.
I don’t think Apple itself ever referred to it as a “netbook”. If I recall correctly, Steve Jobs seemed to go out of his way to avoid calling it a netbook. But that’s what it was. And it was an amazing netbook. It’s the best device ever produced of that netbook category (at least that’s how I feel about it). I loved that little thing. So much productivity in such a small form factor. I still sing its praises even to this day (as I’m doing now). I would love it if Apple were to release a MacBook that tiny again in this Apple Silicon-era. -
On-device Apple Intelligence training seems to be based on controversial technology
Just went to setting to confirm if I had already opted-out of everything (I had). Thank you very much for the article to inform/remind us of this. It’s always helpful to check the privacy settings every now and then just to make sure everything is still off (and to check if any new settings had been added). -
Apple Watch to get small hardware changes, big software updates
I have an Apple Watch Series 6 and I have very little reason to upgrade. And that’s not because the Apple Watch is a bad product or anything. It’s actually the exact opposite. The Apple Watch is such a good product that I’m still very happy to continue using mine almost 5 years after it was released. Everything that I need my Apple Watch to do, it does.
My Series 6’s battery health is getting a little long in the tooth (at completely normal and expected level after all these years). So that’ll probably be my reason for eventually upgrading (rather than paying $100 or so for a battery replacement). But for now, I can probably get another year or so out of it.
Also… my Series 6 has the blood oxygen feature that the Series 10 and Ultra 2 lack (in the US), lol. -

Another option could have been: Hostage Pro Max with Apple Intelligence*
