Trump is too busy for his own tariff negotiations, so will dictate terms instead
I miss when tech news wasn’t so political. And that’s not a criticism of the writers and editors of this site. All of this specific political news is also very relevant Apple news. If you are covering Apple news, this is what you need to write about in 2025. 100% understandable.
I just miss when the biggest news of a particular week (a week that wasn’t WWDC, a product announcement or whatnot) might have been leaked CAD files for an Apple Watch or a rumored prototype case mold of an unreleased iPhone, lol. I look forward to the day when that can be true again. -
iPhone Fold rumored to get both under-screen and hole-punch cameras

Apple tops global brand rankings again -- by a giant margin
It seems different brands of the same company are valued separately. So if you add Alphabet’s brands (Google and YouTube) together, that also adds up over a trillion USD.
And if you add up Microsoft’s brands (Microsoft, Linkedin, Xbox) that would get to nearly a trillion USD as well.
I don’t see Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard on the list. Maybe each individual gaming franchise of Activation Blizzard is valued separately (and none of them individually made in the top 100). Otherwise it seems like Activision Blizzard should have made the list as well. Or maybe it got included as “Xbox”? Not sure.
Microsoft also kinda/sorta has an ownership-ish stake in OpenAI (ChatGPT — on the list). So I suppose that would get added in as well in some way.I’m a little surprised the Tesla brand is ranked so high considering… all that has happened recently, lol. Maybe it was actually ranked much higher before… everything. Or maybe this 2025 list is based on information mostly from 2024 (which would make sense).
Also surprised that Samsung is ranked so low. But maybe Samsung’s individual brands (as well as individual companies) got seperated-out for the purposes of this report. Would the “Galaxy” brand be considered separate from the Samsung brand itself? And would Samsung Electronics be different from all the other Samsung companies?
Interesting list. -
Apple's 20th-anniversary iPhone RAM upgrade could make it an AI monster
I’m sure that’s the exact phrase Apple wants everybody to use: “AI monster”. Lol
When I think of “AI monster”, I don’t think of anything positive, haha. Skynet, Cylons, HAL 9000, Ultron, Agent Smith, Omni Consumer Products (OCP) from RoboCop.
OCP especially. The scariest monster out of all of those is the corrupt politically-connected American mega corporation headed-up by a bunch of greedy sociopaths. Quite the monster indeed, lol. -
'Price is Right' contestants nowhere close to Apple Vision Pro's astronomical price
