I’m surprised the supply chains exist enough to build in Brazil.
They (Foxconn) have been assembling iPhones in Brazil for 15-ish years.
That's not the Foxconn flex that you think it is. I'd expect that in 15 years even India could compete with where China is today. I don't see that ever happening for Foxconn in Brazil.

Huh? “Foxconn flex”? What does that mean?

I know what a “flex” is, but what does that have to do with my reply?

I don’t work for Foxconn. I was just factually stating the they have been assembling iPhones in Brazil for 15 or so years. Brazil assembles iPhones. And… that’s all I was saying.

So… yeah… okay… that was weird. Bye, lol.

  • After everything, Epic Games submits new 'Fortnite' to US App Store review

I hope NOBODY will buy this app ;)
Was that a joke as the app will be free (Fortnite is a freemium game)? Or was that a genuine hope that nobody will “buy” (/download for free) the app?

  • Jony Ive talks about minimalism, taste, and Apple's design group

That man loves his minimalism. Even his clothing. That’s a very minimalist color palette he’s sporting. Looks good.

Oh. Maybe I’m not commenting on anything new. I just Googled him and the first image that popped up was that of an interview of him from September 2024 wearing a nearly-identical outfit (including the shoes). That’s very minimalist of him. Is this specific outfit his version of Steve Jobs’ black turtleneck?

  • Billion dollar battle: Picking an App Store fight with Apple cost Epic Games greatly

According to a recent interview, Epic still spends more than they make though so once the one-hit-wonder game finally loses player interest, their situation will be different.
Did the definition of “one-hit-wonder” change recently? Maybe I’m showing my age a bit (and I know the company is a very different company in 2025), but: I’ve been playing Epic Games hit after Epic Games hit since the 90s. I still load up Unreal Tournament 2004 every now and then and that hit came out back in… well, 2004, lol.

It's crazy how such a repetitive, mindless game has lasted so long and generated so much revenue.
Although you might be showing your age as well because that was very much an ‘Old Man, Kids These Days, Back In My Day, Don’t Know What Real Games Are, Get Off My Lawn’ type of comment, lol.

Sweeney ought to be considering how many people will never but EPIC products because of his conduct!
I know Epic Games articles get a lot of clicks and strongly-held opinions on Apple-focused tech sites article comment sections. But aside from us readers of Apple-focused tech sites: How many potential Epic Games customers even know who Sweeney is? And for those who know who he is, how many know what is “conduct” was? And for those who know what his conduct was, how many people care about his conduct or even disagree with his conduct?
