John McAfee dies in Spanish prison following extradition order to US

We ALL die. So what?
Curious if that is what you publicly declare at the funerals of your own loved ones. If it is, may I suggest those two lines as the perfect inscription for your own tombstone. It would certainly make your stone the most popular in the cemetery! :-) -
Nearly 75% of Apple users don't want an 'iPhone 13,' more than half not excited about iOS ...
The average person lacks good sense about what they want. If Apple was run by the general public, we wouldn't have an Apple today. If the next iPhone was called "iPhone 2021" and the next "iPhone 2022" at some point people would be crying to get back to to the old numbering scheme so we could at list figure out what generation and how many iPhones there have been. All said, the current naming convention is logical and should stay. People are just fickle, growing wearing even of a great thing. Sometimes we just don't know what's good when we have it. -
US House passes bill that could shine a 'spotlight' on corporate tax avoidance
A sad day for everyone.
Intelligent "small government" lawmakers have allowed loopholes to exist because other more sinister "big government" lawmakers want to take more than their fair share from everyone via forced taxation. That taxation is on big companies and on individuals who are just scraping by. Taxing less and spending less should be what all lawmakers are working on. But they aren't. They are trying to maintain Big Brother spending and even creating new taxes which will trickle down to all of us. You've got Federal Taxes, State Taxes, Sales Taxes, Local Taxes, Tariffs, Property Taxes, Payroll Taxes, Capital Gains Taxes, Excise Taxes... the list is almost endless. It's laughable to say companies or individuals "aren't paying enough" when in fact we are ALL paying WAY too much. Implementing this tricks to grab even more in taxes means you too will feel the pain through inflation, earlier than you think. That means your paycheck will be less meaningful tomorrow than it is today. So stop worrying about your neighbor and wondering if they pay their "fair share." Instead, celebrate and rejoice with them if they find a legal way to get around those awful taxes!Tax less. Spend less.Yes, it really is that easy. -
Redesigned colored MacBook Air shown off in new renders
The reason many of us don't like the look is because the color selection is rather feminine, and most of us tend to be macho men when it comes to our color preference. It will appeal to the ladies though, despite the fan white keys are dirt magnets. Personally, I can see why they will do this for the AIR product, but I do hope they will retain some level of reason about the MacBook Pro, knowing that some of us prefer a darker look overall. -
Tim Cook says privacy 'one of the top issues of the century'
Until the Capitol attack I might have agreed. Now the new issue skyrocketing to the "top" is freedom of speech without censorship by Big Brother or Big Tech.
The very existence of social media shows just how much people like to speak. People are wanting to speak so badly that they willingly use FaceBook despite the data privacy concerns that Apple has touted. The desire to speak freely, both in terms of being "without restraint" and "free of charge," is only going to increase as overbearing moderation and deplatforming increases.
Free speech always comes with risks, but in the end that freedom is worth it. Having free speech and the freedom to choose to opt in or out of ad tracking and data sharing are both very necessary.
