This is all very useful, thank you. I’m also in the children-with-intractable-epilepsy club (no longer a child, though, late twenties), so clear, aware information like this from someone who understands the stakes is helpful for asking questions of doctors and the like.

They messed up the html for the link, it’s all there in the code, the missing text between Apple and 27-inch iMac should be: “Apple actually confirmed in November it had no plans for a 27-inch iMac” — the link is to this story:

A few months ago I would have rolled my eyes at the idea of Apple producing a curved display but the idea of visionOS somehow seems to open that door. Not exactly spatial computing, but still better able to represent it in two dimensions. 

So yeah, this is now in the realm of “possible,” I’d say. Retina 10240x2880, 32:9. 

For anyone interested (I can't reply to my own post above), I found the info on the Software Sells Systems poster, thanks to Dan crediting it in an earlier article. It was commissioned/produced in 1979 for John Couch (employee #54), vice president in charge of software at the time.

What is the date of that Software Sells Systems poster? Where did you find it?

I couldn’t find any information about it, an image search just came up with your uses of it. Usually old Apple promotional materials like that poster are easy to find, but not this one…
