  • Shareholders challenging Apple on unions & alleged slave labor

I’ve supported Macs since 1988 professionally, and then for family. In 2008, I rolled over my 401k from a former employer into an IRA, setting aside just enough money to purchase 12 shares of apple stock at something like $84 a share and am pretty sure I did just in the nick of time as I now have something approaching 400 shares. It’s the most valuable part of my IRA by a wide margin. I’ve seen Apple run into legal challenges and questions around the labor force and I’ve seen them show proof that everything is above board. While certainly not perfect, I continue to have faith in them.

  • Apple Watch helps discover 12-year-old's rare cancer

The heart rate sensor has been especially help for me over the last few years. My heart rate rarely goes below 90bpm due to the fact that I live with pretty intense back pain 24/7. Where it’s helped these last few years has been in letting me know that my resting heart has been much higher than normal, knowing this has acted as a warning if I was headed for an anxiety attack. Sometimes, I was able to stop the attacks before they really started. This is every time but it’s helped.

  • New AirPods Pro coming at iPhone 14 Apple Event

The hooks drive me nuts between glasses and masks. I’ve actually been using these foam rubber things that attach in place of the silicone things and I’m able to put them in the case without removing them from the AirPods. Don’t remember what they’re called but the are offered in multiple sizes/colors. They’re on Amazon.

  • Tim Cook talks Apple innovation, health, and Steve Jobs in candid interview

Cook is the ultimate logistics man, shortly to retire, who brought us the monstrosity of the Mac Studio. He also ejected Steve Job's equal, Johny Ive. The trajectory for Apple currently looks irrecoverable. Burn-up.
Everyone is of course entitled to an opinion. I’ve been using macs for more than 3 decades. Have their been bad choices along the way? Absolutely. But I don’t think the Mac Studio is a monstrosity. I’ve got one on my desk and not only is it nearly silent, it also runs rings around my noisy 2020 27 inch iMac. In my line of work (music performance and production), having a fast, silent machine can be the difference between getting a gig and not getting one. Also, he didn’t eject johny Ive. As brilliant as he was, Johny ejected himself after designing many potentially great products into a corner that he couldn’t or wouldn’t design them out of.

  • Samsung unveils new Galaxy Fold 4, Galaxy Flip 4 & More

What I really want to know is why is there not 1 but 2 promotional “articles” on an apple centric website? I suppose I should just be happy you folks are continuing to use the app as opposed to forcing users to go to an ad laden website.
