MagSafe Duo review: almost everything you need, but has too many compromises
charlesn said:I"m normally not a complainer about Apple prices. They are what they are, and you get what you get, and you either think the products are worth it or not. But sometimes Apple just goes too far and this dock crosses the line for me. $130 for a 2-product dock and they don't include the 27-watt power brick you'll need for best recharging speeds?! Or ANY power brick at all? WTH, Apple? The results of your hinge testing are also very disconcerting--you'd think that with a hinged product intended for travel, the long term durability of that hinge would be assured. Great review and very fair criticisms. -
Work on Apple TV+ thriller 'Tehran' second season has already started
maestro64 said:I'm getting tired of these shows with the subtext, I watched Narco and then Narco Mexico and read all those subtext, then watch Tehran and could not believe I was reading another movie, I do not read Novels since I do not find that entertaining and relaxing.
The subtext in Tehran tend to scroll too fast, and I suspect the subtext do not match the actual conversation. There are times the characters say one word, but there is whole sentence on the screen. -

Apple reportedly dropping camera supplier O-Film after forced labor allegations
GeorgeBMac said:razorpit said:GeorgeBMac said:mjtomlin said:wood1208 said:Don't take away income from poor people. If you choose to manufacture in places where people are poor than overlook what's going on and let local goverment and society address it, not my investment in Apple.
Did you miss the "forced labor" part? These aren't poor people being made to work long hours. These are an ethnically targeted group of people being rounded up, thrown into "re-education" camps, and sent off to work in factories against their will.IF it was really forced then you would be right. But I would not trust the the U.S. Dept of Commerce to tell me what color black is -- particularly when it comes to China. They, along with the Treasury Dept, have been the hub of implementing Trump's smear and hate campaign against China. And now, as their end nears, they are throwing as much fuel on the flames as they can. And, as we are seeing so clearly now with our election, these clowns rely on allegations rather than evidence to complete their mission: take down China. The U.S. Dept of Commerce is one of many U.S. government agencies that will need to be decontaminated and depoliticized.Right on cue another China Hater pops up from under his rock to condemn China for something Trump's shills have accused them of....When was the last time China put kids in cages, killed over 1/4 million of its citizens, encouraged and supported NeoNazis and gunned down unarmed black men? What was your defense back then? Oh yeh! Blame China!
I have two questions for you, do you think the "cages" in China are built to the same standards as the ones Obama built here in the US? And was Obama responsible for all the "gunning down" of innocent unarmed black men during his presidency?
Finally, read up on Mao Zedong if you want to learn more about a nation killing its citizens. Spoiler, you aren't going to like it...
You are a sad, sad, man.
