Currentc must have been the most depressing place ever to work. Knowing you're building something that is completely pointless. 

Oh I get it now. 

They're literally trying to make a pro phone. Not just a "pro" phone. 
But a phone that will  be used in business. The smart connector on the back is for accessories like credit card readers and meters and sensors and microphones and other things. The high end camera is to make the phone a real camera replacement for people who would have used a low-end slr. 

But I wonder what this means for the non-pro 7. Are they just going to give up on updating it because purchase cycles are extending to 3 years instead of 2? 
Removing the 3.5in can't be the only "feature". People will see it as the opposite of the feature.

Hmmm. I really dislike all of this. 
So almost identical design, no headphone jack, and fancy camera only on the plus?

I have a hard time believing that Apple hasn't done an obscene amount of research to know if India is a viable market. 
I'd have faith in their outlook over a blogger or analyst. 

Apple is apparently playing a VERY long game when it comes to health. They're clearly building towards something and I honestly don't know what it is. But healthkit, carekit, all the people working on sensors, the whole fitness lab (which clearly is for more than testing just heartrate), now this new hire. It's fascinating to see the groundwork being laid for... what, I have no idea. 

But I do appreciate that they've got plans.
