MacCleaner Pro review: Simple, fast app for reclaiming storage space, speeding up Mac
I've been using Macs since 1984 and when possible have always used the migration tools. I can't remember if there was a migration tool for OS 9 going to X, but I know I must have a lot of old accumulated junk in the system. I know the 32/64 bit transition cleaned out a lot of things, but I have always wondered if one of these cleanup tools would make any difference in my daily user experience.

Court approves Apple's $50M settlement to end Butterfly Keyboard lawsuit
Mine was replaced a while back. The replacement was done for free, partly because my battery had swelled and in order to replace it, the entire top case and keyboard has to be replaced along with it. No charge because my serial number was included in a group known to have contaminated batteries. I think they would have replaced the keyboard for free, because at the time they already had a program in place.

Jean-Louis Gassee doesn't know who an iPad is for, and thinks you don't either
charlesn said:Some of the commentary here is utterly and hilariously clueless--individuals who see no use for an iPad themselves and thus conclude that it's useless for almost everyone. This is one of the most common of the myriad human failings: The inability to recognize that oneself is not everyone and everyone is not you.Every single person on the planet is different from every other person. People are not widgets coming off an assembly line. Sure we have basic physiological similarities, but the brain, that big mutated brain is the spoiler here. In my 65 years on this rock I can safely say that far too many humans don't get this concept, or just stupidly refuse to accept the reality of it. Your personal perception of almost anything is not the perception of others. So the iPad seems dumb to you - fine. If you then assert that it therefore must be dumb for all, and thus must not exist - well then, who is the dumb one now?

Jack Dorsey apologizes for Twitter's fast growth, following Musk layoffs
I saw a lot of Tweets the other day with the #deactivate hashtag. Most of those posters were complaining that the Twitter system was not letting them deactivate their accounts. Unsurprising.
