Redesigned Mac mini with M1 Pro & M1 Max set for spring Apple event
OutdoorAppDeveloper said:There is still a strong need for a way to expand the SSD. A small slot in the back with the ability to insert and remove a M2 SSD module would do the trick nicely. Bonus points if it can be hot-swapped while the computer is on. SSDs are evolving rapidly in both speed and capacity. For a computer to have a 5 to 8 year life, you will want to upgrade the onboard storage. No external port, be it USB 4 or Thunderbolt, can get anywhere close to the speed of a M2 SSD. Even game consoles allow the SSD to be replaced with performance above 6 GB/s.
Imagine a Mini a bit taller that had four M2 slots. Instant RAID with high read/write and reliability. Would make an excellent editing system that was also portable.

Fourth M1 chip with 12-core CPU may arrive in updated iMac Pro

And next year they'll add "Classic Gold" on the end.

Apple TV+ 'The Morning Show' renewed for a third season

I hope the new showrunner can get a handle on these drama kings and queens (actors, writers, directors, and producers), then this could actually turn out to be an award-winning show. And yes, I've watched every episode, more to laugh at it than admire it, but I can see redemption if others feel the same. Who am I kidding, America loves this crap!
You've never worked in US TV news have you?
Thinking back on my days in the newsroom and production studios I am reminded of that line from A Christmas Story: "...my father wove a tapestry of obscenities that as far as we know is still hanging in space over Lake Michigan."
The Morning Show doesn't even make a minuscule scratch to the surface of the things I heard on headset and face to face working in news.
