  • Apple calls Epic Games 'self-serving' in Australia hearing

Here's my thought...Apple is not going to win all of these cases around the world and in some locales they are going to likely have to allow side-loaded apps and/or payments outside the App Store framework.

It seems to me that they have this somewhat figured out on the MacOS side of the house.  Do you think what is going on with MacOS a fair comparison?  I know historically it hasn't been locked down like iOS.  Although I could be wrong, I seem to recall MacOS asking me what level of security I want in this regard.

I personally am a fan of the security of the App Store and iOS in general, but think the writing is on the wall on this issue.

It will come to if you side load an app and it bricks your iphone or ipad, you are on your own.

I wonder if any moves were made. Insider trading will get you a trip to the slammer.

In other words it doesn’t work yet natively.  Premature announcement makes me not trust this company in the least
You mean like Apple saying that the switch would require minimal work on the part of developers and many could get it done in, I think Cook said, a day? Even with an apparent collaboration between the two companies it appears to be a major undertaking. If you use photoshop in any serious way you are still using the released production version and not a beta version released for companies that want to at least start testing the required change in workflow. Most don’t just wake up in the morning and randomly start installing beta software for production use! You should trust companies that make this possible more, not less!
It does require minimal work if you use modern APIs and write modern code. If you of course use APIs from the original mac os and have a lot of code that was originally written for the 68k, it may look differently :) (only slightly exaggerating). Ever noticed that it's ALWAYS is Adboe that take forever with everything they do?

Yep NAS and 64bit was up hill for them.
